Kreol West Indies
KREOL WEST INDIES has just opened its 2nd space for promoting arts and heritage on the Route de la Pointe-des-Châteaux in St François, after the success of the one in Grand-Bourg, Marie-Galante (May 2012), which has become a major cultural tourism attraction.

This innovative concept of historical exhibition, a kind of time machine combining contemporary arts and heritage objects, offers an original scenography reconstructing each prehistoric and historical period, by chronological strata: "the 1940s/1950s", "colony and plantation economy", "Creole interiors", "post-abolition immigration", "filibustering and piracy", "pre-Columbian civilizations"... covering 4000 years.
The Memorial Acte
The Mémorial Acte, also called MACTe, has very quickly become the most emblematic museum of the Guadeloupe archipelago.

In the heart of the Pointoise urban area, the black box overlooked by silver roots, houses a dense permanent collection on the theme of the slave trade and slavery. Mixing historical objects and works of art, the exhibition traces a heavy history but in a unique setting.
